2019/20 Pfaffl ‘Sandstein’ Zweigelt Red

This is a fine example of of single vineyard Zweigelt from Pfaffl’s Sandstein vineyard.

This classic Zweigelt exhibits just what this variety can achieve: fully ripe, cherry fruit, a
compact body and plenty of power.  Every vine is restricted to a minimum amount of fruit to
ensure optimal ripening in the sun.  Brilliant, ruby; full cherry fruit in the nose, a hint
of smoke; round and juicy on the palate.  Crisp tannins give spicy nuances.  A Zweigelt with full
body and rounded fruit. Ideal to accompany steaks, pasta and pizza.
