Patrick Berthet-Rayne, Cairanne.
A terrific southern Rhone red from a less known commune but close by the Vacqueyras and Rasteau.
A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, totally unoaked.
However it is from the great 2015 vintage and the producer has made an outstanding wine. Full of stone fruit and blackberry flavours, complex and concentrated with a big powerful style and long sweet fruit finish – A great find and highly recommended!
