Description
Sendiana, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon.
Sendiana is a boutique wine, made in the Monastery of St Jean. Father Charbel Hajjar is resident monk and principal winemaker.
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Franc & Mourvedre. All grown bush vine fashion in the rocky soils of vineyards located in Khenshara & Ajaltoun both at 1000m altitude in the Bekaa Valley region.
The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 15 months prior to blending and bottling.
The result is a very dark and intense wine with delightful aromas of morello cherry and a hint of rosemary. On taste it is smooth with hints of black fruits, touch of mint and overtones of tobacco from the oak ageing.
Perfect with beef, lamb and spicy stews.
