Description
Champagne Gardet, Chigny les Roses, France.
Made from old vines Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
This is a rosé made in in the traditional ‘Saignee’ method, whose colour is obtained by leaving the grapes to macerate for a few hours after pressing, in order to produce the correct juice colour.
This process is very delicate as it is very difficult to achieve the desired colour. It is much less used than the alternative blending white with red process.
With more structure than a blended rosé this excellent Rosé Champagne has strong berry aromas and taste, much more appreciated with a meal than as an aperitive.
Multi Award Winner.
