Description
A blend of typical port varieties, Tourliga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Tinta Francisca.
Crusted port is often just short of Vintage port quality. It is made using the same method, but often using a blend of different vintages instead of a single year.
This specific crusted port is a blend of two Vintage Port years, aged in wooden casks for two to three years. It is then left to age for a further six months in seasoned oak before being bottled unfiltered. Just like a vintage port.
This Crusted port is ready to drink now, though has potential to age for a further ten years. In which time it will develop mature complexities.
Bottled in 2006
