This excellent wine has been and is still
very popular with our customers, who never
seem to tire of the fresh, gooseberry
flavours and characteristics.

An outstanding example. Part barrel fermented, similar to Cloudy Bay, it has a bouquet of passion fruit and gooseberries, on taste it is complex with rich gooseberry and tropical fruits flavours and a wonderful long finish. Highly recommended!

Spitfire takes its name from a small parcel of exceptional grapes growing on the site of a World War II airbase in the foothills of Marlborough's Delta Range.

These grapes were sheltered from the cool southerly winds allowing them to ripen fully to give a superb tropical style Sauvignon Blanc.
